Police work entails the protection of life and property through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. In conjunction with these aspects, the Police Officer will also engage in specialized investigative procedures, resolving problems involving family crises, community and school concerns, and completing other assignments associated with law enforcement.
Work associated with this position involves the responsibility for performing jobs from routine police assignments to the most complex of specialized investigations. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a course of Police Academy training. Officers will receive extensive training in the many facets of Police work.
