Black History month is a time to honor the sacrifices made by African Americans and celebrate their successes. Join us on Monday February 12, 2024 from 11 am to 3 pm as we celebrate Black History Month. This event is open to the public and will have music, food trucks, poetry reading, a marching band, and many vendors., who have helped shape the nation.

The Miami Police Department’s Do The Right Thing (DTRT) Program is in search of young adults between the ages of 18-22 interested in serving the community as police officers in honor of Senior Police Executive Angel Calzadilla, a beloved Miami Police officer who passed away in 2011 due to cystic fibrosis.

Applications should be submitted online by February 26, 2024. You must be between the ages of 18-22 to apply. See attached flyer for further details. In efforts to continue raising awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence, the City of Miami Police will be hosting a soccer tournament as a fundraiser for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.).
