The Felony Apprehension Team is an element of the Tactical Investigations Unit. The mission of the Felony Apprehension Team is to assist investigative units to locate and apprehend wanted criminal offenders who have probable cause to be arrested for a felony. All members of the Felony Apprehension Team have been deputized by the United States Marshals Service and belong to the South Florida Regional Violent Fugitive Task Force. The Felony Apprehension Team will also identify, locate, and apprehend wanted offenders with open felony warrants that reside outside the City of Miami jurisdictional boundaries.

The Domestic Violence Apprehension Team is an element of the Tactical Investigations Unit. The mission of the Domestic Violence Apprehension Team is to assist the Domestic Violence Unit in locating and apprehending wanted criminal offenders that have probable cause to be arrested for a felony crime. The Domestic Violence Apprehension Team will also identify, locate, and apprehend wanted domestic violence offenders with open felony warrants that reside outside the City of Miami jurisdictional boundaries.
