The Miami Police Department proudly serves a vibrant and diverse city spanning 35.45 square miles and home to 487,014 residents. Committed to public safety, community partnership, and professional excellence, the Department works around the clock to protect and serve the people of Miami.
Our team is made up of 1,702 dedicated employees, including 1,362 sworn officers and 340 civilian professionals. Together, they provide comprehensive law enforcement services, community outreach, crime prevention initiatives, and essential support operations that keep our city safe and thriving.
