Good evening. Today around 1545 hrs, my home alarm system was activated from a motion sensor. I am currently traveling, and this worried me. I called you dispatch to provide them my information so I could get an update from the responding officer. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the officer(s), but I’m hopeful that you can pull this from your records. 

The officer immediately called me upon arrival asking about access and letting me know they would complete a full perimeter check upon arrival of backup. The officers calm and kind words were exactly what you want to hear as a traveling homeowner. Once the perimeter check was complete, the officer called me with an update. Not only were they extremely friendly and complimentary, but they even offered to bring in my trash can from the street - after knowing I was traveling, the officer knew that a trash can on the street could be indicative of someone not home. They took it upon themselves to notice this, ask me my preference, then bring the trash can into my side yard. I’d love to know this officer’s name so I can thank them in person upon my return. In the meantime, I really hope that leadership within MPD receives this message and provides accolades accordingly

This officer was especially helpful in my extortion case, he was very knowledgeable, clearly a protector of the country, and quickly helped me get in touch with the robbery unit detectives regarding my extortion. It’s officers like this that make America safe.
