The Chief Clarence Dickson Police College is currently accepting student applications for both the current and upcoming Police Academy class schedules through the Independent Program for Police Officers, available on a full-time or part-time basis. Additional programs include Equivalency of Training (EOT), Crossover of Law Enforcement Officers (COLE), Public Service Aide (PSA), Auxiliary Police Officer Program, and more.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Law Enforcement Program:

Minimum age: 19 years

U.S. citizenship

High school diploma or GED
-
No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, false statements, or moral turpitude

Honorably discharged from military service (if applicable)

Valid Florida driver’s license

To apply to the Miami Police Training Center’s Independent Program for Police Officers (full-time or part-time), applicants must complete Steps I through VI and submit all required documentation in person at the Registrar’s Office, 350 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33128.
