The Labor Relations Unit is an element within the Administration Division's Personnel Resources Management Section. The Labor Relations Unit processes applications for police recruits and civilians. This Unit hires employees as well as conducts background investigations and polygraph examinations.

Departmental Disciplinary Review Board

The Departmental Disciplinary Review Board is an element within the Labor Relations Unit under the Administration Division's Personnel Resources Management Section. The Departmental Disciplinary Review Board provides a method of ascertaining the fairness and equity of punitive actions for infractions of the Departmental Orders, Standard Operating Procedures and other departmental directives, consistent with the current bargaining agreement.

Health Services

The overall function of the Health Services Detail is to create and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all Miami Police employees. It is our goal to ensure that our work force is both healthy and drug free, that seriously injured or ill employees receive the benefits due to them and that our employees who may have an occupational exposure receive post-exposure evaluation and follow-up.
