The Personnel Resource Management Section is an element within the Administration Division which is focused on the human resources-related services
of the Department, and is responsible for administering, managing and overseeing the specialized areas of personnel management. The Section is comprised
of the Personnel, Payroll, Health Services, Property/Compliance and Recruitment and Selection Units.
The Department relies on this Section to select and recruit the best candidates to fill the uniformed and civilian positions, investigate their
backgrounds, and administer the hiring process. Once hired, the Department's employees depend on this Section to assure that they receive the required
training for their specific responsibilities, and for guidance regarding continuing education programs. This Section manages the health-related issues
of the sworn personnel, including annual physicals and required immunizations. Throughout their careers with the Department, employees depend
on this Section for payroll, personnel evaluations, and support in EEOC complaints. And finally, the Section administers all terminations and
retirement processes for personnel ending their employment with the Department. |
